| A MOSQUE in Manchester has been put on lockdown after a suspicious letter with 'white powder' was found.
Cops were called after staff at Didsbury Mosque and Islamic Centre - which was attended by Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi - discovered the letter this morning.
Officers put a cordon around the building and firefighters in protective suits were pictured at the scene.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman told the Manchester Evening News: "Police were called to the Manchester Islamic Centre, on Burton Road, in Didsbury at 11.40am.
"Officers received a call that there had been a threatening letter sent to the Islamic Centre.
"Police attended and, together with the fire brigade, are currently accessing the letter.
They added:"At this stage it is being treated as low risk.
"Officers are expected to remain at the scene for the rest of the day."
